A 19th century French wine taster
with a serpent ring handle, later decorated with foliate sprays and a fleur-de-lys motif, and inscribed below the rim 'MAUZAT DE M', marks lost in decoration - 8cm diam.; and another of plain circular form with a serpent ring handle, inscribed 'F. VALLIANT', maker's mark only, struck four times 'JBB', unascribed, probably last quarter of the 18th century - 9cm diam. (2)
