In the Adam style, oval, on domed spreading base chased with acanthus and with applied bands of beads, the body chased with husk swags and applied with flowerheads at intervals and dentilated rim, the two lion's-head handles with pendant rings, the tapering cover with gadrooned rim and a calyx of chased stiff leaves surmounting a tied-reeded band and bud finial, marked on base and cover--13in. (33cm.) high
