signed on the underside Johann Willebrand in Augspurg 48, the silvered hour ring with folding pin gnomon, the gilded brass latitude arc decorated with scrolls and engraved for latitudes 10-90, the octagonal silvered horizontal plate with folding plummet support with original plummet, the compass with fine blued-iron needle and brass cap, the underside with three gilded brass feet and engraved on the base of the compass box with the names and latitudes of numerous continental cities and towns -- 2in. (5.7cm.) long
