A 19th-Century Stockert-pattern fruitwood diptych dial,
signed on the inner face of the upper elaf Verfertigt von David Beringer, with eleven positions for the string gnomon from latitude 36 to 56 in increments of 2 and hourly graduations 7 - 12, 1 - 5, the inner face of the lower leaf with three circles of hourly graduations for latitudes 45, 50 and 55, the compass with blued iron needle and brass cap, the outer face of the upper leaf labelled with latitudes for forty-six continental cities and towns (some paper loss), with brass hook and eye -- 2in. (7cm.) long
