by Applebee and Crawford, comprising three Liston knives, two trocar and cannulae, a bone saw, a finger saw, a Heys saw, a tooth key, the cranked shank with double claw and ivory handle, a pair of extractors, a bone brush, an elevator, two trephines with ebony handle, a part set of six horn-handled scalpels (two lacking), an oval cross-section trocar by Savigny with silver sheath, various probes, catheters, a pair of tourniquets, a scarificator, unsigned, and other items, the saws and knives with chequer-grip ebony handles, all contained in a red plush-lined brass-bound mahogany case with two hooks and eyes -- 20in.
