A mid 19th Century model single horizontal cylinder mill engine with brass plate engraved Chas Sutton Roll Turner Wordsley 1866
with cylinder 2in. bore x 4in. stroke, cylinder head drain cock, inlet and exhaust pipe, main stop valve, overmounted separate steamways and valve chest, studded stuffing boxes, forked connecting rod with bolted and strapped big end, webbed crank, chain sprocket and friction disc driven Watt-type generator and linkage connected to the main stop valve, spoked flywheel and 'V' belt pulley, finished in green, black, red and polished brightwork, the chimney with brass plate engraved 'Industry'. Further details include a cast floor supported on eight columns and wood base supported on eight bun feet and glazed cover with opening end panels. Measurements overall -- 20 x 27in. (50.8 x 69.8cm.)
