A well engineered model gas fired self contained portable donkey engine designed by W.M. Harris
with welded steel vertical fire tube boiler with fittings including burner, water and pressure gauges, level test cocks, safety, whistle, clack and blowdown cocks. Engine details include twin cylinders 1in. bore x 1in. stroke, drain cocks, displacement lubricators, studded stuffing boxes, bar type crosshead guides, barrelled connecting rods and pierced disc cranks, the crank shaft with spur gear drive to two winch drums, each with separate clutches, 'foot' operated band brakes and capstan heads, the ropes with hooks. The channel section frame is mounted on two hard wood skids with cleats, finished in black, red, green and polished brightwork -- 24 x 18in. (61 x 45.7cm.); and a separate water tank with hand feed pump
