Blue interlaced L's enclosing date letter I for 1761, painter's mark for Buteux l'an, various incised marks
Richly painted in colours with trophies of Love, reserved on the green-ground within gilt flower garlands, comprising:
A rectangular two-handled tray (plateau 'Courteille'), the green border further gilt with a vine entwined around a ribbon, 13in. (33cm), wide, overall An oviform teapot and cover (thire 'Calabre' 3me grandeur), 5in. (12.5cm), high
A sugar bowl and cover (pot sucre 'Hbert'), 3in. (9cm), high A footed cream-jug (pot lait ' trois pieds', 2me grandeur), 3.7/8in. (9.8cm), high
