An Ambassador's uniform post 1957, as follows: the blue coatee with gilt mounted Royal Arms button (QEC) and black velvet facings, the collar and cuffs edged with gold oakleaf lace and bearing embroidered oakleaf sprays; companion trousers with 2in. gold oakleaf lace stripes; a fine black silk bicorne hat with double gold bullion loop and white ostrich-feather edging; a civil uniform sword by WILKINSON with fine etched blade (E II R cypher), cast gilt-brass hilt complete with gold lace and bullion knot in black leather scabbard with gilt locket and chape, with chamois-lined outer cover; a blue cloth sword-frog; a pair of elastic-sided black ankle-boots, with trees; a fine white drill tropical tunic and trousers (collar-tabs and mounted gilt buttons present but not fitted); a blue forage-cap with white cover, a row of gold oakleaf embroidery to peak and black oakleaf lace band bearing embroidered badge of QEC above E II R cypher within a wreath; and a pair of white cotton gloves.
