Designed by Ernest Chaplet, manufactured by Haviland & Co., 1881-1885, the mounts with maker's mark AC
Of swollen form with tapering neck and loop-handle, incised and painted in deep blue, green-blue and gilt and decorated with floral decoration, applied with a small butterfly, with silver mounted rim to base and top and with silver hinged lid

Impressed H&Co. with in a circle of dots, incised GB 3/5, the mounts stamped with maker's mark
