A CHINESE IMARI TANKARD WITH DANISH SILVER COVER
the porcelain first quarter 18th century, the silver with maker's mark of Christian Lbecker, Copenhagen, 1722 and 1724
Of tall cylindrical shape, painted, enamelled and gilt around the sides with a riverscape, enlivened by figures in fishing boats and pavilions, the slightly domed silver cover hinged with lion and ball thumbpiece and inset with silver-gilt coin, later engraved with two inscriptions 1841 and 1802

Another Chinese Imari tankard, mounted with a Danish silver cover inset with a Danish coin of 1700-1705, is illustrated by D. F.
