1924 Expedition

A collection of Tibetan artefacts assembled by Noel E. Odell in the course of the 1924 expedition, consisting of a clay plaque, a clay tribute, a small collection of Tibetan silver and copper coins, a Tibetan banknote and explanatory leaflet, a phial of Tibetan pills with a photograph of the donor, the Abbot of Rongbuk, two packets of dried Himalayan flowers, dated 1924 and a folded leaf of Tibetan paper. [Together with:] Modern prints of photographs of Holy Lama of Rongbuk monastery at the blessing ceremony for the 1924 expedition, and of Norton, Mallory and Geoffrey Bruce at the ceremony. (7)
