A travelling set of draughtsman's instruments by Troughton & Simms, London, comprising two rulers, one bone and one wood, a wooden straight edge with movable brass pieces, and 5 brass instruments, including 2 dividers, 2 pens, with adjustable nibs, and pencil, all contained in original fitted stipple-grained leather case, hinged opening with button clasp -- the case 6 x 2in. (17 x 6.5cm.) Provenance: Sir Ernest Shackleton and by descent.
