Remains of label, Christie's slip label. Level mid/upper-shoulder. Dark colour
Tasting note: Considered the greatest Yquem vintage since 1847 and unquestionably the most magnificent of the present century. Many notes over the past quarter of a century, all spectacular though some deeper and more Madeira-like. At its most perfect best at the same dinner as the 1893, but served at the end of the meal: medium - not deep - warm amber gold; glorious peaches and barley sugar bouquet that blossomed in the glass; medium sweet though very rich and assertive, with high but excellent acidity and great length.
