The oval teapot with straight sides, engraved with ribbon-tied wreaths between wide bands of scrolling rinceaux, with straight spout and ivory scroll handle, the hinged cover edged with wrigglework and with ivory patera finial, marked under the base and lion passant under lid; the oval stand on four scroll bracket feet, with reeded rim and a band of vermiculae enclosing a central coat-of-arms within a bright-cut engraved cartouche
