AN ITALIAN ORMOLU, GREEN MARBLE AND BLUE-ENAMELLED STAND
Reconstructed in the 19th Century with earlier elements
The upper section with four winged terms on scrolled brackets issuing floral swags, centred by a quadripartite salt and surmounted by a removable pierced upswept acanthus nozzle above a panelled frieze with scrolled grotesques centered by associated female profile medallions and a further panelled lower frieze with later winged putti heads on outscrolled legs in the form of foliate lion heads, the upper concave-sided tier of the lower section signed 'Latin Flavio'
