A GENOESE BLUE-PAINTED AND GILT JAPANNED SIDE TABLE
Mid-18th Century
The bow-fronted shaped simulated Siena top with moulded border above a shaped frieze decorated with pen-engraved floral sprays and foliate scroll motifs, each side with a small drawer, on cabriole legs terminating in plain feet with upswept acanthus motif, repairs to right legs, the decoration refreshed, especially the blue background
29 in. (75.5 cm.) high; 38 in. (98 cm.) wide; 20 in. (51 cm.) deep
