A COMPOSITE FOUR PIECE VICTORIAN SILVER TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE ON TWO HANDLED TRAY, maker's mark of the Barnard Bros., 1843-45, the tray 1857, comprising teapot, long necked coffee pot, two handled sugar basin and cream jug, each urn form, the six panels with concave fluted corners, on four foliate scroll supports with apron between, the sides flat chased and engraved with alternate panels of scalework or acanthus, each bordered by foliage and enclosed by strapwork, the pots with foliate wrapped, partly reeded scroll handle and spout, the hinged, raised, conformingly decorated cover topped by cast floral finial--the coffee pot 9¼in. (23.4cm.) high, the molded oval tray, engraved with broad band of bold flowers and entwined foliate scrolls, the rim applied with bold leaf and flower at intervals, with two part foliate loop handles--length over handles 29in. (73.6cm.), gross weight 235oz. (5)
