Two Chanel two-piece suits, both labelled Chanel Boutique, one of pink, purple, red and turquoise boucl tweed, the collarless jacket fastening with gilt metal buttons bearing the Chanel logo, the hem weighted with a gilt metal chain, with corresponding skirt, both pieces lined in purple silk, and a purple chiffon blouse labelled St.Michael; the other of pink, orange, beige and black loosely woven tweed, the collarless jacket with gilt metal buttons, the hem weighted with a gilt metal chain, and corresponding skirt, both pieces lined with pink silk, and corresponding pink silk blouse similarly labelled (2)

Lot Essay

According to the vendor, these suits are thought to have been worn by Angela Lansbury in the 1984 Associated British Pictures made-for-television film Lace. Gordon Scott worked for ABP until 1969 however he returned to work on various films on a freelance basis.
