The monogram is that of Tomajuoli, who provided the staffage, and who collaborated with Coccorante on other occasions (B. De Dominici, Vite dei Pittori, Scultori e Architetti Napoletani, Naples, 1742, III, p. 566); see, for example, the Rovine con Perseo e la Medusa in the Pucci Collection, Naples (N. Spinosa, in the catalogue to the exhibition, Civilt del'700 a Napoli, 1734-1799, Naples, 1979-1980, I, p. 168, no. 70a, illustrated).
