The pillars case on bun feet, with painted porcelain dial decorated in gilt against a cream ground with a cottage and swallows, with a polychrome figure of a seated girl to the fore, gilt-painted Roman chapter ring, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to lever escapement with bimetallic balance, strike/repeat on gong to backplate stamped for E. Maurice & Co. and 3956 -- 6in. (15.5cm.) high
