The drum case surmounted by leafy fronds and flanked by amorini, one kneeling with cornucopia and the other standing on a parcel, an anchor mount detached, on plinth with fluted sides and imbricated curved angles, the white marble base with conforming angles and recessed foliate mounts and on toupie feet, the white enamel Roman chapter disc with Arabic five minutes and pierced gilt-metal hands, mounted with a later garland plaque signed L'Epaut PARIS, the twin barrel movement with rack work planted on the backplate, later suspension, with strike on bell and signed L'Epaut Paris; movement and dial associated to case -- 14in. (37cm.) high
