A carved oak quarter-chiming mantel clock, early 20th century
The case with over-lapping leaf carved domed top, glazed side panels, bearded mask and trailing flower mounts to the front, on stepped and inverted breakfront base (small section of moulding detached), the silvered dial with silvered rings for slow/fast and chime/silent above the Roman chapter ring, the triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement quarter chiming on four gongs and with hour strike on further gong -- 17in. (43cm.) high
