A SILVER COFFEE POT, maker's mark of J. E. Caldwell, in the Persian taste, sharply tapering cylindrical, the decoration on matted ground, the lower body chased with scallop shell band, the body flat chased and engraved with broad undulating stylized flowering foliate frieze, above with further stylized foliate bands, with conformingly decorated loop handle and highly upraised spout, the hinged high domed cover topped by ovoid finial--10½in. (26.6cm.) high, gross weight 22oz.
