A SILVER EWER, maker's mark of S. Kirk & Son, circa 1850, vase form on spreading circular base, the lower body chased with radiating acanthus, the remainder chased and engraved with continuous flowering foliage, the mid section twice applied with decorated ribs, also enclosing birds, with bearded mask under spout, with decorated scroll handle --13½in. (34.2cm.) high, 53.5oz.
