A rare, James II trefid spoon,
of good gauge, with a plain rat-tail bowl, scratched "P.T.E. on the back of the terminal, by John Clifton, 1685* - 20cm long, 1.75oz.
* King James the Second riegned only from 1685-1688 when he was obliged to flee the country. Items of silver made during this short reign are consequently few and far between.
