signed Cartier, number 3946 94702, 1930s
a nickel plated movement, jewelled to the centre with a gold alloy balance, signed Le Coultre, the matt white painted dial with alternating baton and Arabic numerals, blued steel hands, in diamond shaped case, the back secured by four screws with internal dust ring, case makers mark JC, with makers leather strap and gold buckle, with extract from makers archives showing the watch was sold on 17 December 1936 for FF2,200, copies of estimates by Cartier International Services for renovation work, copy of a valuation for insurance, copies of an advertisement illustrating the "Tank Asymetric" in two forms, presentation box and service guarantee dated June 1998, case and dial signed
36 x 20 mm.
