The arched hood with glazed door and swan's neck pediment pierced with sounding panels, flanked by fluted columns, the case with shaped door and fluted angles above a similar panelled plinth, the dial with silvered chapter ring and engraved center inscribed 'TAYLOR KING STRT WP, HAVEN' and with arched date aperture, the arch painted with phases of the moon, the works striking the hour on a bell with anchor escapement (restorations to case and works)--86½in. (220cm.) high
