*Edward Albert Christian George Andrew Patrick David Windsor born 1894 was created Prince of Wales on 23 June 1910 and succeeded to the throne on the death of his father, George V, on 20 January 1936. He reigned as Edward VIII for 325 days, abdicted the throne on 10 December 1936 and died on 28 May 1972. (2)
