A mid 18th century gold mounted etui
of tapering form with a leather clad body and reeded borders, fitted with the following mounted steel items: a bodkin; a pair of steel tweezers; a pair of scissors; two mounted tortoiseshell folding fruit knives; and a mounted pencil, the case later initialled and engraved on the cover with a panel of strapwork, circa 1740 - 9.5cm long.
