An English porcelain vase, first quarter 19th Century,
adapted for use as a lamp; of baluster form, the main register with a painted scene of a basket of flowers with a ruin in the back-ground, with wide gilded border and on a dark green ground; the reverse with gilt foliate designs on a dark green ground; the gilt handles modelled as stylised dolphins; mounted on a square gilt-metal base -- 12in. (30.5cm.) high.
