The 15 inch globe printed with the constellations and calculated to the year 1820, and signed 'CARY'S NEW CELESTIAL GLOBE, on which are carefully laid down the hole of the STARS AND NEBULAE contained in the Catalogues of Wollaston, Herschel, Bode, Piazzi, Zach, & C. calculated to the year 1820, made and sold by J.& W. Cary, no. 181 Strand, London 1818', the horizon band with calendar and zodiac above a ring-turned stem and splayed legs centering a compass stretcher (compass lacking glass)--38in.
