A GROUP OF GOLD AMULETS AND JEWELLERY

Comprising a gold mounted Egyptian cornelian wedjat-eye amulet; a glazed composition lotus column capital, in later gold mount; a sheet gold Tueris amulet, mainly Late Period (712-332 B.C.); a pair of Hellenistic gold animal-headed earrings, with long curving horns, 3rd Century B.C., all ¾ in. (1.9 cm.) high max.; a Bactrian gold hoop earring with camel and rosette pendants, 1¾ in. (4.6 cm.) long; another plain hoop earring; a gold hoop earring with chain threaded with an ankh-sign and three (recent) pearl drops, 4 in. (10.2 cm.) long; a Roman sheet gold amulet of Aphrodite Anadyomene, .7/8 in. (2.2 cm.) high; two sheet gold rings, one with traces of a repoussé figure; a gold disc showing a repoussé head in profile; and a gold lentoid bead with fluted leaf-like design and filigree border, all circa 2nd Century B.C./A.D.
