woven with stripes of blue and gilt alternating with stripes of silver leaves, the ends woven with two flowring shrubs in the Safavid manner, the corners woven with stylised initials, circa 1700 (joins and wear) --208cm x 30cm

Lot Essay

The initials are indestinct but appear to refer to the Sluck factory in Poland.
