A pair of gilt bronze mounted white marble candelabra, 19th century
in the Directoire style, with later candelabra branches, the naturalistic branches with three foliate clasped nozzles issuing from the stiff-leaf engine turned sockets, the undersides with domed covers and berried finials, the ovoid bodies with tassled chain swags and tripod goat's head monopodiae above the circular bases with beaded borders and toupie feet, losses and damages to the domed covers, with ink inscription to the underside of a domed cover Marnyhae July 88 the bronze variously stamped 88 -- 14in.
