gouache heightened with gold on paper, composite, by some rocks a turbanned youth stands holding the branches of a flowering tree, the heads of five men visible below, illuminated border, decorated buff leaf, mounted, framed and glazed, Iran, circa 19th century - 15 x 9.4cm.; and two leaves from a 16th century manuscript, 19ll. of black nasta'liq in two columns, gold margin between black rules, each with later 19th/20th century illustration in Safavid style, glazed and framed together - leaf 18.5 x 10.1cm.
