Single leaf: volume I, fol. 84 (9/4), from Deuteronomy I, chapters i-ii. Type: 1:146(138)G. Double column, 42 lines. Rubricated: headlines and chapter numeration in alternating red and blue lombards, red capital strokes, rubric headings in a textura hand. No visible watermark. Original six-line initial on recto excised, red and blue initial and part of second line of manuscript explicit and 33 words on verso supplied in very skilful ink fascimile, light foxing, marginal soiling. Tipped into a copy of A. Edward Newton, A Noble Fragment, New York: Gabriel Wells 1921, folio, publisher's black morocco, joints and extremities rubbed, folding cloth case (broken).
