The present sheet may be compared in style and handling to two drawings sold in our Amsterdam rooms with attributions to Hendrik de Meyer (1737-1793). One sheet formerly in The Hans van Leeuwen Collection; Christie's, Amsterdam, 24 November 1991, lot 207, illustrated, for which an attribution to Dirck van der Laan had also been suggested
