wearing a top hat and coat, modelled standing, leaning on a plinth, his other hand on his hip, his legs crossed, on a square base, moulded W&R/L diamond mark and impressed registration lozenge for 1876 (head broken off and restored, some minor chips and restoration) -- 41cm. high

Lot Essay

Cf. The examples sold in these Rooms 28th October 1993 lots 324 and 325.
The mark on the above lot would appear to be that of Wittman & Roth, importers and wholesalers in the 1880's.
