Comprising: a katchushi tsuba in Hayashi style depicting sotetsu palms growing beside the engawa of a villa in an allusion to the Genji Monogotari, unsigned; an Echizen Kinai guard piereced and molded with a dragon, signed Echizen (no) ju Kinai saku; a Choshu style mokko guard carved with a basketwork ji with uchiwa, unsigned; a marugata Umetada guard applied with aoi and arrowroot in gold, silver and copper, signed Umetada; a Shoami style mokko guard carved and molded with a celestial dragon, unsigned; a Shoami of Hizen guard applied in silver and gilt copper with hares below a full moon, signed Ichiryusai Masamitsu; a Goto style shakudo nanako guard with widely flanged rim, pinched thinner at the corners, and applied with a spiny lobster with fruits and leaves in gold, silver and shakudo, unsigned; diameters 8, 7.2, 8.2, 7.8, 7.5, 7.4, 6.6 cm.
