LATE EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1850), SIGNED JOKASAI, ATTRIBUTED TO YAMADA JOKASAI [TSUNEO], 1811-1879

Of standard form and containing six triangular-tipped arrows and one spade-tipped arrow, the case is decorated in in gold, silver and colored hiramaki-e lacquer with two celestial dragons and emblazoned on the case and cover with mon of the Takasaki clan; some cracks, repairs and restorations--length 39 1/4 inches (99.6 cm)
