AN INCISED CELADON BOWL
KORYO DYNASTY (12TH-13TH CENTURY)
The wide bowl set on a short ring foot and incised on the interior with three peony sprays centering a large peony medallion within a double line border, further incised below the rim with a narrow band of floral scroll within double lines, incised on the exterior with a wide band of stiff leaves around the foot and with double lines below the rim, covered overall in a rich, vibrant green celadon glaze pooling emerald in the recesses and with attractive large crackle- 7 1/2 in. (19.6 cm.) diameter
