A Charles II ascribed West Country lace-back trefid spoon
with a ribbed rat-tail and a rounded* cleft terminal pricked "A.W M.W 1683" on the reverse, crowned "X" mark struck twice on the back of the bowl, no makers mark, Exeter circa 1680 - 19.75cm long, 1.75oz.
* The lace decoration on the front of the terminal does not reach the edges of the spoon, which was not trimmed after striking.
