A 16th century unascribed provincial seal-top spoon,
the squat hexagonal terminal scratched "E.C." with traces of gilding, on a slightly tapering stem with a lap joint, traces of a mark on the back of the stem and an indistinct incuse mark in the bowl, (perhaps a bird), unascribed probably dating from the middle of the 16th century - 14.5cm long, 1oz.
