A Charles I sweetmeat dish
with two "scallop shell" handles, the bowl of shallow circular form with a shaped rim and radially fluted chased lines resembling petals of a flower head, the centre with punched beading and a shield cartouche, pricked "AB.AA", by an unascribed maker, I.M. in an oblong punch, 1637 - 13.75cm dia, 3oz.
