This ceremony took place in the sixth month of 1767 during the reign of King Youngjong (f. 1724-76). Among the officials present were Kwan Juck and Kim Sang Sung. The Sun, Moon and Five Peaks screen was traditionally placed behind the throne of Choson rulers.

An album dated 1748 with a similar scene of court ceremonies is in the National Museum of Korea, Seoul, and is illustrated in Hongnam Kim, ed., Korean Arts of the Eighteenth Century: Splendor and Simplicity (New York: Weatherhill and The Asia Society, 1993), color plate 3.
