Lot Essay

The quality of the mounts and the cabinetry of the offered lot is equal to that produced by both ateliers. The stylistic marquetry can be found on several examples attributed to both makers sold Christie's New York, 14 September 1995, lot 453 and 454. The use of dolphins and helmets can be found on an armoire offered in these rooms signed F. Linke, 30 April 1992, lot 340.
