Telescopic view, cosisting of 5 lithographed and colored sheets, first and last sheets mounted on heavy card (with sight hole cut into first), middle 3 sheets mounted on lighter card, the backgrounds trimmed away and cards mounted concurrently between first and last views, accordian-style, giving the (presumably) young viewer the illusion of depth-of-field. A lovely depiction looking east on the Seine, with swimmers, boaters and fisherman, carriages and pedestrians on the bridges all easily discernible. Each card 120 x 150 mm., view approx. 400 mm. extended, minor spotting to sky in first and last cards, some wear to corners, original paper slipcase with printed label.
