lithograph, 1916, on heavy wove paper, inscribed with the artist's name and intialled in pencil by his wife, numbered 'No 11,' from the edition of 52, with full (?) margins, surface soiling showing in the margins and on the reverse, a few tiny tears at the top margin edge, otherwise in very good condition, framed

Lot Essay

Bellows depicts himself at the top right, while his friend and teacher, Robert Henri, may be the figure seated in the shadows of the foreground. They are attending a juried art show, probably at the National Arts Club.
