A SILVER AND MIXED-METAL THREE-PIECE TEA SERVICE**
Maker's mark of Tiffany & Co., New York, circa 1880
Comprising teapot, covered sugar bowl and cream jug; each globular, the hand-hammered surface applied with mokume butterflies and gold and copper paulownia leaves, dragonfly, and bee amid engraved vines, the straight spout and circular handle with ivory insulators inset with copper petals, the hinged covers with similar motifs and surmounted by a copper and silver ball finial, the sugar bowl and cream jug interiors gilt, marked under bases 4676/417, also marked near rims with French control marks
4in. high; gross weight 21oz. 10dwt.
